A grant of € 600 each will be offered to three (3) members to provide assistance for intercontinental flights (in the most reasonable level of Economy Class) and accommodation for the duration of the conference. 

Insurance coverage, local transportation, meals and other expenses related to the member’s participation will not be covered by the grant in any circumstances.

We will accept applications from all presenters but in equal merit, priority will be given to INTERCOM members.

Applicants are required to comply with the eligibility criteria stated in this call.

Requirements:

• Be an individual or institutional member of INTERCOM
• Work in a museum (or in the museum field) for at least two years at the grant application date
• Be able to write and speak English
• Be up to date with ICOM membership for 2023 and 2024
• Be aware that members who have received grants in the last three years will not be given priority for a grant in 2024

In awarding grants, priority will be given to the applicants who:

• Show a good understanding of the benefits to be derived from attending the annual conference
• Are from countries belonging to Categories 5, 4, 3 and 2
• May obtain other funding sources to facilitate their attendance at the conference
• Are aged 40 and younger

A necessary obligation and condition:

Each grantee should attend the conference on‐site and must submit a report within two weeks following the Meeting stating his/her experience and contribution to INTERCOM  activities.

PLEASE NOTE that INTERCOM may publish the report and images sent (entirely or partly) on its website and social media channels.

Each grant amount will be transferred after the conference to the selected members ONLY:

1. After their onsite participation;
2. After submitting the report to INTERCOM and its approval.
3. After receiving all financial documentation (invoices, checks, bills, etc.) proving his/her expenses.

The amount to be transferred to the grantee’s bank account will be based on the financial documents provided.

The maximum amount to be reimbursed is € 600, regardless of the total expenses presented in the form of documents.

An application must include:

• A copy of the ICOM membership card (both sides), with the ICOM Membership number
• Contact details and affiliation
• A 200‐word statement of the applicant’s motivation for attending the conference and the benefits he/she expects to derive from it
• The applicant’s curriculum vitae indicating training, work experience, publications, and current work responsibilities within his/her institution (maximum one page)
