INTERCOM (International Committee for Museum Management) announces a call for candidates to apply for INTERCOM’s Member Travel Grants.

The grant is to encourage individual and institutional members to attend our annual conference, which will take place in Dubai, November 15^th, during the 27^th ICOM General Conference .

A grant of € 600 each will be offered to two (2) members to provide assistance with airfare (in Economy Class) and/or accommodation for the duration of the conference.

We will accept applications from all members of INTERCOM, but with equal merit, priority will be given to members aged 40 and younger and belonging to ICOM Categories 3, 4, 5.

Applicants are required to comply with the eligibility criteria stated in this call.

Requirements:

• Be an INDIVIDUAL INTERCOM MEMBER or a representative of an INSTITUTIONAL INTERCOM MEMBER for at least 18 months before grant application
• Work in a museum (or in the museum field) for at least two years at the grant application date
• Be able to write and speak English and/or French
• Be up to date with ICOM membership for 2024 and 2025
• Be aware that members who have received grants in the last three years will not be given priority for a grant in 2025.

The maximum amount to be reimbursed is € 600, regardless of the total expenses presented in the form of documents.

 An application must include:

• A copy of the ICOM membership card (both sides), with the ICOM Membership number
• Contact details and affiliation
• A 200‐word statement of the applicant’s motivation for attending the conference and the benefits he/she expects to derive from it
• The applicant’s curriculum vitae indicating training, work experience, publications, and current work responsibilities within his/her institution (maximum one page)
